Easy Red Velvet Brownies

Makes 24 brownies

 

An easy brownie treat for a Valentine’s Day lunch box, or sweet snack any day of the week. The Easy Pink Frosting makes it extra special for your February 14th celebration.

INGREDIENTS

BROWNIES

1 package (family-size) fudge brownie mix

1/2 cup sour cream

2 eggs

1 bottle (1 ounce) MCCORMICK Red Food Color

 

EASY PINK FROSTING

6 drops MCCORMICK Red Food Color

1 container (16 ounces) white frosting

 

DIRECTIONS

1.Mix brownie mix, sour cream, eggs, and food color in large bowl with wooden spoon, until well blended.

2.Bake and cool as directed on package.

3.FOR THE EASY PINK FROSTING: Stir 6 drops food color into frosting, until well blended. Add additional drops of food color, until desired shade is reached. Spread on cooled brownie. Cut into squares.

 

TIP: For easy clean-up, line pan with foil, with ends of foil extending over sides of pan. Use foil handles to remove brownie from pan. Place on cutting board and cut into squares.
