Easter Basket Brownies

Makes 24 brownies

These little brownies are so easy to make, even the kids can get in on the baking.

Nonstick cooking spray

1 cup all-purpose flour

1/4 teaspoon baking soda

1/4 teaspoon salt

3/4 cup granulated sugar

1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter

2 tablespoons water

1 1/3 cups NESTLE TOLL HOUSE Semi-Sweet Chocolate Morsels

2 large eggs

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

1 2/3 cups (8-ounce package) NESTLE TOLL HOUSE SPRING EASTER BASKET MORSELS & MORE, divided

1.Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 13 x 9-inch baking pan.

2.Combine flour, baking soda, and salt in small bowl. Microwave sugar, butter, and water in a large, microwave-safe bowl on HIGH (100%) power for 3 minutes, or until mixture boils, stirring once. Add semi-sweet morsels; stir until melted. Add eggs, one at a time, stirring after each addition until well blended. Stir in vanilla extract. Add flour mixture; stir well. Stir in 1 cup of the EASTER BASKET MORSELS & MORE mixture, set aside the remaining mixture. Pour batter into prepared baking pan.

3.Bake for 10 minutes. Remove pan from oven and sprinkle the remaining 2/3 cup MORSELS & MORE mixture on top of the brownies. Return the pan to the oven and bake for an additional 8 to 12 minutes, or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out still slightly sticky. Cool in pan on wire rack. Cut into bars. (Brownies cut better if chilled in the refrigerator.)

NOTE FOR SAUCEPAN METHOD: Heat sugar, butter, and water in medium saucepan just to a boil, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Proceed as above.
