Fluffy and flavorful this torte has the “wow” factor when it comes to desserts.
1 package PILLSBURY Moist Supreme Dark Chocolate Flavored Premium Cake Mix
Additional ingredients to prepare cake mix per package instructions
1/2 teaspoon almond extract
3/4 cup cold heavy cream
3/4 cup PILLSBURY Creamy Supreme White Frosting
1 (21 oz.) can cherry pie filling
Chocolate curls or grated chocolate
1.Prepare cake batter, according to package instructions. Mix almond extract into batter. Divide into 3 prepared (9”) round cake pans. Bake and cool according to package instructions, but reduce baking time to 19 to 22 minutes.
2.Beat cream in large bowl with mixer on high speed until stiff peaks form. Blend in frosting.
3.Level all cake layers with long serrated knife. Place 1 cake layer on serving plate. Top with 3/4 cup frosting mixture. Spoon 1/3 of pie filling over frosting mixture. Repeat all layers two more times. Sprinkle lightly with chocolate, if desired. Chill until ready to serve.
